January*: A Fresh Start in the Fight Against GBV

As we begin the new year, January is the perfect time to focus on ending gender-based violence (GBV). At the Girl Child Movement (GCM), we are committed to raising awareness about GBV and supporting women and girls everywhere.

What Is GBV?

GBV includes any violence caused by someone's gender, such as physical abuse, emotional harm, and sexual violence. It can happen at home, in schools, or in public spaces. At Girl Child Movement, we believe GBV is never acceptable.

What Can We Do in January?

Raise Awareness: Talk about GBV with your community and help others understand its effects, as Girl Child Movement works to spread knowledge.

Support Survivors: Offer help through counseling or safe spaces for those affected by GBV, just like Girl Child Movement provides.

Advocate for Stronger Laws: Join Girl Child Movement in pushing for better laws to protect women and girls.

Empower Girls: Education gives girls the tools to protect themselves and become leaders, a core focus of Girl Child Movement.

*Why January Matters*

January is a new beginning, a time to set goals. For Girl Child Movement, our goal is to continue fighting GBV and create a safer world for girls. But we need your help!
